My approach to Pilates is rooted in the principles of alignment, breath, and control. I believe that by focusing on these fundamental principles, clients can achieve a deeper mind-body connection and more effective results.
I am a licensed Physical Therapist and have practiced since 2008. While completing undergraduate studies I became certified to teach Pilates after developing a love for the practice. Upon graduating PT school I competed an extensive certification program through Stott that is designed for health care specialiats. While working in an outpatient orthopedic setting I was able to combine Pilates principles with PT care to provide optimal outcomes. I am now able to offer personalized instruction and support to ensure that you are getting the most out of your practice, whether you are a beginner or an experienced practitioner, or if recovering from injury or surgery.
My studio is designed to create a peaceful and welcoming environment where you can focus on your practice. I have state-of-the-art equipment and a variety of classes to meet your needs, including private and duet sessions. I provide traditional Pilates classes as well as Physical Therapy sessions or a mixture of both.
I am also able to travel to your home or office and bring any necessary equipment for an effective workout convenient to you.
Pilates is a type of strength training exercise that encourages mindfulness and body awareness. It improves breathing and overall health. Regular practice promotes postural alighment, prevents injury, and increases endurance for other activities.
